An agile transformation is a rightshifting mechanism used to deliver workable improvements to organisational delivery of change.

An agile transformation is the controlled, structured, planned development and implementation of a change that delivers specific organisational and governance objectives by means of a project to translate an organisations project delivery environment and its personnel in a staged approach from an existing operating model to a target operating model (T.O.M.) while introducing appropriate techniques and repeatable processes that support the principles of the Agile Manifesto and that assist the delivery of projects to time, quality and to budget. It is this simple and this complex.

This of course includes the project estimation process, project planning and project funding processes but also includes the executive activities that define and agree projects as well as the candidate selection processes and much much more. So let us look a little more at the operating models.
